Description
Coffee has been grown in Yemen for centuries, but the creation of Mocha Java occurred around the 17th century when European merchants were first introduced to the beans. The Yemen city of Mocha was a popular port and was a common stop for ships travelling between Europe and Indonesia. The blend was created when sailors returning home to Europe combined beans from the Indonesian island of Java with beans from Yemen. We are doing a more modern approach to this blend using Papua New Guinea (Indonesia) and Ethiopia (same region as Yemen) to create our own version of Mocha Java.
